Mental Health project presented
Anxiety, depression, stress, damaging businesses, drinking, family problems, extended injuries. These are some of the issues that affect football players, during their activity.

Aiming to answer these problems, the Portuguese Players’ Union (SJPF), in partnership with the Portuguese Sport Psychology Society (SPPD), presented the Mental Health project, at the Sport National Museum, in Lisbon.

Ambassador
Bernardo Tengarrinha, 28-year-old player to whom it was diagnosed a Hodgkin lymphoma (blood disease), is the ambassador for the Mental Health project, presented by SJPF, which main goal is to support football players at a psychological level.

Champ4Life
The Faculty of Human Motricity (FMH), in partnership with the Portuguese Players’ Union (SJPF), it’s carrying out the “Champ4Life” program, aimed at former high competition athletes and professional football players that, currently, are overweight or obese, are inactive and live in the Lisbon area.

UNION SUPPORTS FIRE VICTIMS

Anselmo Cardoso, representative of the Portuguese Players’ Union, and football player João Vilela were at the corporations of Volunteer Firefighters from Mafra and Ericeira to deliver food, following the fires that affected several Portugal areas, with devastating consequences.

More than 30 people lost their lives because of the flames.
